Alright, car seat check!! Show me your #carseatsafety! Straps should pass the pinch test, chest clip at armpit level! Straps at or below for rear facers which should be ages 2 and under or 4 and under is even better! at or above the shoulder for forward facers, ages 2 and up! No aftermarket products except rolled receiving blankets. No twists in the straps! Who is riding safe??✋
@shann, Yes it's absolutely right! bigger coats will compress in an accident leaving excess slack in the straps with can make your baby fly right out of the seat!!!
did you see the article on not having them in a winter coat as well that was informing to me. @alauraandabdielsmom @queendavis @supermom1104
@queendavis, Ahh my mils famous words, Alaura wants to see! she can see just fine facing backwards! Her response was well she already passed it then! I said well, my child's neck staying intact is more important than sight seeing, she agreed with me!
Yep they're doing that here in Cali! My son rear faces except when we go on long trips I let him face forward that way he can watch the tv's that are on the headrests in our car, which has only been twice! All my friends kids are like 6 months+ and already facing forward and they think I'm crazy! They tell me "well the baby wants to face forward so we let them" I'm like ummmm pretty sure they had NO clue about facing forward until YOU introduced it!!!!? People are crazy lol 😂
@queendavis, I feel ya!! I've had to explain to all my hubby's family about extended rear facing, they thought I was crazy! I'm so glad alot of states are making it mandatory to be 2 years before you can foward face now
I'm such a freak when it comes to car seat safety. My husband gets so mad because when he puts the kids in the car I always check them before we leave to make sure they're 100% safe 😂 he's like dang you don't trust me or what??? I'm like no you just aren't a crazy mama bear like me! Haha 😋
All safe rider here!! Rear facing til 4! :D
