I planned my own baby shower and it was great because I decided who was going to be there and who want, what we were eating and what theme, it was great! there's nothing wrong with throwing your own!!

if she wants you to have one so bad tell her plan and pay for it. otherwiseeee.... she can take those comments and stick them where the sun doesn't shine :) don't feel bad.

lol i'd shut her up by simply asking what she plans to contribute to throwing the baby shower since you definitely don't want to be an embarrassment 🙄 cake and announcements? decorations? anything? wonder how long it'll take her to come up with a clever response to that. to be quite frank, if she's doing more criticizing than attempting to help, she must be jealous of something, lol but what do i know 😉

I had one with my first, and won't do it again. We just bought stuff as we could afford it for the last one and have done the same for this one. You typically get a bunch of stuff you don't need anyways

Honestly I'd do it. I don't think it's an embarrassment who cares if you have everything you might get some extra stuff you didn't know you needed/wanted. Besides the support is good for you.

I don't think it's embarrassing to throw your own? You're celebrating having your baby. Besides, How would anyone know you threw it yourself anyway??
