I appreciate my family & my husband's family support. Yet, I feel suffocated because they want to handle everything for me. I don't want a baby shower & I want to buy my baby everything; I don't want the extra attention - I've always been shy. I understand they're excited, I just want to be left alone to make decisions for my own kid.
Trigger. Lost baby Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?

That's hard and I see that a lot with shy women. You don't want to be pressured into being in the spotlight. Can you talk to them and tell them you appreciate it all but it's just not what you want?

Knowing My Mother In laws, one I believe will be okay about not having the baby shower but the other (my husband's birth mom) will throw a fit & think I hate her if I stand up for my self. 😔 She felt unwanted because I had already bought a car seat & didn't consult her about it.
