okay everyone so last night my husband told me that he does not want my mom in the birthing room how many of you had your mom in the birthing room and how many did not and how do I tell him that I want her there?
Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
FTM! How to deal with mother in law wanting to be in the room while giving birth,?? .... I dont even want my mom in there with me... How should I tell them... So they wont get offended?!?!?!:0 i just want my fiance in there with me.... :)

How come theres no group for birth/labour experiences? As a first time mom, I want to know your stories! I want to have a natural birth, at home. Preferably in a birth pool. Tell me about yours!
How many moms had the epidural ? And how many moms went natural and what was your experience in going natural and would you recommend anyone to do it ?

I didn't. She said "can I be in the room with you" and I said "no! I don't want you seeing my hoo-ha!" and it was cool

I liked having my mom because she had done it before. Husbands are great, but they are as overwhelmed and clueless as you.

You're the one being exposed, so I think your vote carries the most weight. My mom and my mother-in-law were both in the room.

I had my mom and mother in law. tho my MIL was trying to control everything. I'm the type of person IDC how much you think you know. I'm listening to my doctor. it ended up in my mil slapping my doctor for bout pulling my child's cranium off during labor. .. . less people. less stress.

I will have my mom, best friend and husband. He wants no part of holding my legs as he can be squeamish so he's happy to have them there! I had my mom and best friend with my first as well.

Ugh I'm on the same boat! I told my husband that I want both of them more so because both of them are going to provide me with a different comfort... We shall see what happens that day!

I did not have my mother there, or any family members for that matter. Just my fiancé and bestfriend, and this time it will be just me and my fiancé. That isn't a moment I really wanted to share with any of them, but if it's someone who makes you comfortable just let him know you'd like both your mothers and his support at that time.

If your mom will be comforting to you than tell him it's not his choice!! If it won't make a difference and your just worried about hurting feeling side with your husband.
