so with this pregnancy I am going to a birthing center verses a hospital because I want to experience water birth with this being my last baby. Has anyone ever had one and is it more smooth then a hospital birth? Any feedback welcome.

why do hospitals keep you so long after birth?
Is it rude to not want anyone at the hospital? I was just informed that my MIL wants to be waiting at the hospital so as soon as I pop out the baby she can rush in to be with the baby. I am really a private person and dont really want anyone at the hospital when I give birth (except my husband). I was planning on calling all the family to come to the hospital once I was all cleaned up and ready for visitors. Am I being rude? How do I tell them I dont want visitors a minute after pushing out a baby?! I would like some private time for just my husband & I!

my mom didn't have a water birth but she said that laboring in the tub helped her a lot. I plan to labor in the tub at the hospital as long as I can.
