Get one of the nit combs and sweep her head. Take your time and hit every part of her head. I've heard mayo and a shower cap to sleep for everyone and then bag her toys for 2 weeks. Wash all the linens and stuff on the hottest water you can. Add some eucalyptus oil to her shampoo, it'll help repel them at school. Good luck and keep your chin up

If the natural remedies don't work you can get kits at the drug store that will kill them and it comes with a nit comb... Just make sure you follow the directions and then repeat the process in a week.

oh I see lol, it might have been a super infestation at school lol. I heard 4 hrs, but 6 couldn't hurt!

She is mixed white though right? That's why...I never got it though, I assume cuz I am part Salvadoran?. I thought mayo for 4 hrs was supposed to suffocate it.

@rhonda.otero, it sucks. I have long curly hair and caught it when I was little and my mom sat there for three hours combing my hair out. she said I fell alseep in the chair.

I'm praying for you and you're daughter I had lice in first grade I let a girl spend the night and she gave it to me my mom got some medicine at the store for it and spend hours getting it out of my hair I got it againg in middle school cause I let a girl use my hair brush (never againg ) if you can and able to the store has something to kill the lice

put drops of tea tree oil in ALL the shampoo and conditioner to prevent it happening again.. also the mayonnaise thing really REALLY works. Even though it's gross... lol but defibtely comb through her hair with as fine of a comb as you can.. and definitely keep her hair oiled for a few weeks until it's outta the school!

if you put mayonnaise in her hair and cover it the lice suffocates and dont forget to comb out the eggs, cause if one of rhem survives you have another full blown case.

That's okay momma happens to all kids I remember when I had it in 5th grade and I was traumatized.. Treat her for lice and come out her hair (I understand it may be tough) with a fine tooth comb and repeat 7-10 days later so you can get the eggs that hatch.. They sell spray to spray furniture and bedding with to get rid of eggs and also bag up all her stuffed animals and pillows in a trash bag after you spray them for 15 days so the live die

Lice doesn't last in black peoples hair because we retain natural oils it should always be moist and oiled

I would recommend not using the same hair tools at all and use things like shea oil and t tree oil in her hair so it won't get dry
