So I know Im going to have to breast feed for many reasons, All of my family is allergic to formula so it has to be breast milk or goat milk, but I feel nervous kuz I know my husband is going to want to watch kuz hes curious too but Im uncomfortable with it right now. I have a breast pump too so that he will be able to feed her by bottle but even then I will turn on music or something to cover up the sound... Am I being a little too weird?
I second that....you might think it's awkward but honestly, once you see that baby and hold him/her in your arms, instinct takes over and you just think about feeding the baby and that's it! I'm a very shy person, and almost all my friends and family have seen my boobs at one point lol when baby is hungry, baby is fed!
You'll get more comfortable once you get used to it. It becomes second nature and you won't care about anything but feeding your baby.
Have a conversation with him. explain your discomfort and until you are comfortable ask him to be somewhere else while you feed. However, it can be very helpful to have someone help during the early days. The first time my baby latched, I was asleep. My husband made sure everything went well.
