Yesterday I had a Dr. appointment. They informed me that I've only gained one and a half pounds since September. They made me high risk. I'm 5'7" and was 115 before I got pregnant. Now I'm 117. They are worried, because they said I'm underweight. I've always been tiny and no matter what I do I just can't gain weight.
as long as baby is growing good , your weight isnt as big of a factor ... i would think they'd alarm your weight when baby is also looking underweight or whatever but at 18 weeks it shouldn't be a big deal that you haven't gained that much some people even lose weight in early pregnancy but its all perfectly normal .
@linnychicken199, they just measured my tummy. all he said was "exactly 17. that's good." I have no clue what that means.
I didn't gain until just recently. And ive still only gained 5 lbs. don't worry urself(: its perfectly normal. Did u request a growth check on the baby to see how the baby is progressing?
Im not sure either but he could be measuring ur uterus. If it would make you feel better call and ask him to have a growth check done. Its just an ultra sound but it should clear up any concerns ur having.
