Preeclampsia. I'm stunned. I can't understand how. (No advice needed on that part.) Any mommies here gone through this…

I had that real bad I had to stay in the hospital for a week I got induce at 37 weeks baby was healthy just had slight jaundice

ever since I was about 36 weeks I assumed I had preeclampsia because I got so swollen all over my hands and feet a little bit of my face and my blood pressure was always to high every time I went in for my weekly appts asked my doctor and my she kept ignoring me and saying I don't have it (she never ran tests either) and I carried until I was 40 weeks and went to a different hospital to see if they can test and got induced for having preeclampsia. my baby was big and healthy! no worrys @tayek

@breloya, right now I'm just sitting. I wanna clean, but I know that's a no no lol Waiting for hubby so we can meet with the doctors at lunch time.

Don't freak out lol. I know, easier said than done. But you don't need to stress, just try to relax.

Well, I noticed my hands and feet/ankles were getting extremely swollen, but everybody was telling me that it was a normal part of pregnancy. Especially towards the end. So I did nothing. And when I went in for my weekly appointment, the nurse looked at them, took my vitals and all and then called my doc in. At that point, I couldn't even fit my shoes, I was wearing flip flops. That was the day I was induced because my blood pressure was dangerously high. I had to get bp meds through my iv and couldn't have any stimulation until it went down. So the lights were off, I couldn't use my phone or watch tv, I couldn't even talk to my husband. So I went to sleep. It kept going up and down and so did my daughters heart rate, so they monitored me closely. I was already 3 days overdue anyways. Sorry for the long story. Just giving my experience with it. BUT you and your baby will be okay. Just do whatever the docs tell you and if you notice that you're becoming swollen and specks in your vision, call your doctor.

Did you have protein in urine or just high bp? They started me on steroid shots for my daughters lungs-- she was born at 34 weeks and she is perfectly perfect.

I developed that towards the end of my pregnancy.

As far as I understand, it's high blood pressure in pregnancy @babyanakin I was told NOT to Google anything. Which we know I'll probably sneak and do anyway. Thank you!!! @babyn2015, thank you too mama!!!
