I've gone my whole pregnancy sleeping on my sides. I was a back sleeper before but switched and haven't had a problem. So tell me why, at almost 38 weeks pregnant, I keep waking up on my back. I was told that if I'm comfortable it's fine, that my body will tell me when to roll over but it doesn't. I don't get dizzy, I don't feel any pressure or weight on me, and my breathing isn't bothered at all. I just feel so terrible, I'm afraid I'm going to hurt my baby :(

If anything, lying on your back will hurt you, not the baby :) it restricts your breathing a bit but if you're comfortable it's really okay to drift that way

when you wake up that's your body telling you to roll to your side. that's what my doctor told me.
