My daughter was born yesterday at 1:46pm and I swear all this girl has done is slept. We have to wake her up to feed her and change her diaper every few hours and she is such a sound sleeper it's really hard to get her awake to feed. Anyone else experience such a sleepy baby the first few days? I'm thinking it's just because she is worn out from being born and will start to be more awake, fussy after a day or so. What do you think?

My daughter and I both slept a lot during the first few weeks cause of my csection and the pain meds

Did you have any pain meds? They could be in her system making her sleep more

My baby was exactly like that for the first few days. When we got her home she started to wake up on her own more within the first few days. But even now all she does is sleep and eat lol

My mother said I was the same way and it worried her so she went to do some tests and it turned out I had hypothyroid and nobody knew. If it worries you maybe you should get her checked as well.. Better safe then sorry.
