Opinions on hungrier baby milk? My girl is drinking well over 30 oz in 24 hours. I tried her with water inbetween feeds…

@laurabump27 I'm taking her to the walking centre tomorrow morning as she's had a reaction to her eye drops as well so hopefully they'll finally listen to me xx

She could be comfort drinking to ease reflux pain not all babies refuse.

Stop the infacol... go Into a pharmacy and buy baby gaviscon use it with 2/3 bottles if u see no improvement go bk to the Dr.

@vixster Its closed now and can't get up to the hospital as it's 45 mins away. We don't have any money at all as my fiance has been off with an infection and the babies money hasn't come through yet. I'll take her there in the morning. I've stopped giving her the drops as that's ridiculous. She's had this thing with her eye at Least 3 weeks. We've tried two sets of drops I just don't know what to do 😭 xx

Yeh take her back if you have to. Morgan had bad constipation as a newborn and they kept telling me it was normal. I said going 10days without pooing isn't normal. If that were an adult you'd do something to help. Had to see 2 different doctors before they listened to me. If she's drinking loads and has colic she will have stomach/ digestive issues. I wondered about reflux with Max. But he did calm down after a while. Hopefully she'll settle out soon but def take her back if you need to.

@vixster I keep telling them there's something wrong I'm just so drained. And she has a poorly eye too xx

@sara-lou86 Will try them tomorrow. Honestly it's getting too much now. I'm not sleeping or really eating. I have no time to do anything. I'm trying to get her seen by the doctor but seems it's taking forever. I know sonethings wrong. And now to top it off she's had a bad reaction to her eye drops. Her eye has had problems for ages now and they've not helped her for ages.. I feel absolutely useless and helpless 😭 xx

@winterbaby95 think they checked her for that in hospital. And I've spoken to the doctor they didn't listen to me and just acted like I don't know anything. I'm making an appointment because I'm 90 % sure she has reflux xx

Buy a handful of the ready made ones and give it a go. Any sign of tummy problems then stop. Yes health visitors will advise against it. They do about prep machines, ready made bottles and pre-prepped bottles but thousands of us do it that way. Go with your gut, If you wanna give it a go. Max was feeding almost every hour 1-2at the very most until he settled around 7weeks so I get it. It's shattering. She will settle and go longer periods eventually so hang in there!

@megan-leigh ask a doctors opinion they'll know more than a health visitor, Kai wouldn't take water either he still doesn't now he gargles it and spits it out, how much does she drink in one feed? maybe try the hungrier baby milk all babies are different could help her xx

@winterbaby95 I know her signs but the HV told me to give her water inbetween feeds. But she's not thirsty she's hungry. She just expected me to let her cry. And now I dunno what to do because she's either crying for food or because she's drank that much she has belly ache xx

@nataliielouiseexo she just said water but she's hungry and I keep feeding her and she ends up with belly ache and wouldn't settle at all. It's not just about being hungry she's always crying because she's hungry or has belly ache xx

When they cry for milk..its usually when they are really hungry and frustrated...try look for signs she is hungry before getting to the crying point xx

Growth spurt hun :) Oz of milk is just a guideline...every baby is different..they can drink more or less the recommended xx

@megan-leigh, most health visitors don’t actually have kids themselves hun so I won’t have them telling me what to do with my baby. Try her with the hungrier baby milk it might fill her belly up more and allow her to sleep better. You also need a break yourself sometimes look after yourself as well as allaiyah babe xxx

@ezchaz yeah Kai was in so much pain it was horrible I didn't even want to change his milk it was Gary's mam and sisters kept banging on about it! I wasn't happy like xx

@megan-leigh Kai was feeding loads he even put nearly a pound on within a week and the health visitor said its alot, I said to her what am I meant to do if he's hungry though and she said feed him 😐 I just carried on feeding him when he was hungry then after he was about 6 weeks he settled into a routine of feeding about 4/6oz every 2 hours til he went to bed, have you asked the health visitor what to try? xx

@courtniek98x I'm trying the colic drops it seems to help her poo but doesn't help her crying for milk so I'll ignore the health visitor as she doesn't have to live with it and doesn't see her in pain with belly ache xx

@megan-leigh, try her on the hungrier milk babe it worked wonders for me! Plus try putting colic drops in her bottle see if that helps a bit xxx

@courtniek98x All she seems to do is feed. When she's hungry she won't take her dummy of drink water she will just scream and be so unsettled and only sleep for 6 hours. I can't do anything I'll end up with depression if I can't help her 😭 With her having a poorly eye as well just don't know what else to do xx

I tried it and won't use it again it cause Kai to be constipated, health visitors don't recommend it either xx

I had harper on hungrier baby milk from 10 weeks she was so greedy 🙈xx
