so I haven't told you beautiful mommies about my labor story so here goes, I was at home and my husband had just gotten off of work at around 5:30. we were waiting on dinner (chicken quesadillas, my FAVORITE) and they had just gotten done so I went to eat. my husband was outside cleaning his car and I was in the middle of eating, I started having contractions and needless to say I was almost a week overdue, and I was trying to force myself to eat. at around 7 they started getting closer and closer so I called my mom and asked her to time them because I didn't know how and she's my first, she started counting and about 7:30 they were 5 minutes apart. We went in to labor and delivery and my mom met us up there. they told me my water was ruptured but didn't bust yet. at around 8:30 they called my doctor and she told them to go ahead and induce me since I was 90% effaced and 3 centimeters dilated. they went ahead and gave me the epidural and started pitocin on me and they got the needle ready to puncture my water and he went to check me and I was 100% effaced and 5 centimeters dilalated. As he was checking me he popped my water and it gushed everywhere, he told me that was the easiest water he's ever broken. at about 10:30 I was 6 centimeter dialated. about a couple hours later I was 7 centimeters dialated and they upped my dose of epidural because I couldn't take the pain. I was in labor for 7 or 8 hours and it took me an hour to push, at 5:47 am May 8 little miss Raleigh met the world weighing 8 pounds 13 ounces and perfectly healthy. she had a little problem with her sugar and they told me to get it up or she would end up in nicu so we finally got her sugar up. we got to leave the hospital on mothers day and they made an announcement on the newspaper of her appearance. the day she was born was the best day of my life, she changed it in so many ways. ❤❤😍😊
