got two of my wisdom teeth pulled today. it's been like 14 years since I've had a tooth pulled. not fun. lol. anyone…

honestly don't use straws till it's healed. I had all 4 of mine out at once and even had to have parts of my jaw removed for it too.

@_akgirl, I never got any when I had mine taken out, but my friend did with two of the four she got pulled, and she was in so much pain for like three weeks because of it. She was on a liquid diet the entire time, lost a ton of weight and was just miserable. Poor thing. And she looked like a chipmunk for weeks because of the swelling! So yeah, be careful with that - any sort of "sucking" will give you dry sockets!

WHATEVER YOU DO, do nottttttttt drink out of a straw!!! You'll get dry sockets and they are SO PAINFUL 😩

oh they should have given you one so you could rinse out the holes with it so food doesnt get stuck in them.

my fiance just had all 4 of his pulled and they told him no hot food for the first 24 hours then after that just warm food and nothing with seeds or anything like that. dont rinse it for the first day and then the next day just lightly swish salt water and swish after you eat anything. no straws for the first week and nothing carbonated. did they give you a little syringe for water?

@reaganmommy2015, that's basically what happened. they put gauze in and sent me on my way

I think all the gave me was gauze to put in the whole and to change it out a lot but other then that I was good

not eat hot stuff at all until tomorrow. that's when I can start introducing pastas and macaroni and mash potatoes and such. I'm so hungry too. I can't wait to eat so much tomorrow girlfriend

I just remember something about light swishing (not gargling) with salt water. Google can explain much better, I'm sure lol.
