my baby is a week old today and I still cant figure out what im doing wrong when it comes to breastfeeding. he will nurse for over an hour even when switchjng breasts and he will still be hungry and eat an ounce of formula afterward. so we usually spend about an hour and a half feeding burping and then I only sleep maybe an hour in between. im so tired and frustrated and upset bc im not doing better.

Have you tried pumping to see how much you are actually producing? You might not have enough. I would call lactation and see what she says
I worked with a lactation nurse at the hospital for a few days while we were there. he will latch on with the nipple shield he just feeds for very long amounts of time and still acts hungry. I feel like my supply isn't enough for him or something. @reaganmommy2015 @fancybeads_ru
It would probably help you a lot if you met with a lactation consultant. You can find them through the hospital or pediatrician.
Almost all babies eat long first month, because they are not strong enough to do that quick and maybe you don't have enough milk yet? You just need some time and everything will get better.
You can check with your hospital to see if they offer breastfeeding classes it might help u
