for you already mommies, is it true that you get zero sleep once the baby is here? it kind of pisses me off that people say that to me, like it's gonna make it any better lol it's like "enjoy it while you can, you're going to be miserable once she's here" ....smh
I slept when he did.. but then I was sleeping during the day all the time. and never at night. we also had to wake our son up every 3 hours bc of him being a preemie.
You will get sleep but it's very broken up maybe anywhere from 1-2 hours at a time or 3-4. Just depends on the baby's feeding schedule. You definitely won't get your full 8 hours anymore...
it was not true for me. if you start off with a good "schedule" then its not that bad. i would sleep when my baby slept. literally almost every time. i would change her feed her then she would fall asleep and i would pump for about 30-45 minutes then wash bottles and my breast pump stuff then i would go to sleep. idk for me its not that hard and it wasnt that hard in the beginning either but maybe that's just me. you just have to figure out something that works for you and your baby.
I wouldn't say I'm miserable though. I will say I am exhausted but it's all part of motherhood.
It is true for me. My son wakes up every 2-3 hours to nurse. Currently he has gotten to the point where he fights sleep. So he fusses and cries for hours until we can finally get him to sleep. He'll be a month old tomorrow. 😑
I don't get sleep but I'm not miserable lol I love waking up with my daughter and even when she keeps me up it has it's entertaining moments some nights
I was VERY tired for the first month because all my sleep was broken up into 2-4 hour increments with 1-2 hours of being awake in between...just be sure to sleep when baby sleeps and work on a schedule after about a month it got much better..vitamin b12 will also help naturally boost your energy as well 😉
