Husband or child?!?! I was watching Oprah and this woman was asked if her car went into a lake and she could only save her husband or her child, who would she choose. She said "I would save my husband because I can always make more kids with him!"
My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤
Tell me if I'm wrong here. My husband's sil has covid. She's obviously quarantining in her house but is still loving on her kids and husband. I'm sorry but if I had it I would lock myself in a room. She hasn't gotten her kids tested... they're obviously doing the whole remote learning and quarantining for two weeks but she plans to send them back without testing them on the Monday after Thanksgiving 😬😱. My husband thinks I'm overreacting but I told him I don't want to see them on Christmas. I'm in the middle of iui cycles and don't want to risk this. Besides I don't think I could sit in a room with her knowing how irresponsible she has been not only with her family's health but those that are coming into contact with her and her family.
I hate my generation sometimes ? Today was my nieces baby shower, which went great. She got so much which amazing since she's been working 2 jobs trying to save up for the unpaid leave she'll have to take from work. Anyways I was talking to one of the ladies there since my son and her daughter were playing together. I asked her what her daughters name was, she said it was Layla. I told her that's a really pretty name and asked her if she was a Clapton fan and if she was named after the song. This girl had no idea who Eric Clapton is. ? ♀ One of the most iconic songs, and she had no idea. I hate my generation. ?

I think you should pick someone you feel would be the best for child. its best to just think about your child when making the decision on who the god parents are gonna be.

I feel u should choose god parents based on their character and their ability to actually care for your child. My best friend has three kids but she is a loyal person and could actually care for my dtr if need be. My cousin doesn't know yet but I am choosing her to be my new baby's God mom because she is responsible n I know will love mine like her own. Some ppl do it for the wrong reason. I am the god mom of my niece she is 17 my brother passed before she was born but it was his wish that I be god mom I was 13 when she was born but since I have been of age I send her money and she comes to stay with me every other summer . God parents don't have to buy stuff all the time some ppl choose certain ones because they have money and they assume they will splurge on their kid others choose to have a go to sitter but it's really about who can care for your child if u become incapacitated

@ginag918, you make a good point. I love my friend but I'm not sure she could take care of my daughter if anything happened to me. I don't want someone to splurge but I also don't want my kid living how I did. I want the best. It was easy picking one godparent, my husbands friend, because I know he will care for her and always be apart of our lives. Maybe I should only have one but I feel like if she isn't one then she will be hurt. I honestly was hurt she didn't want me to be the godmother anymore. I understand I'm in Italy but that's my husbands job. I have to go where he is but that doesn't mean I don't love my godson nor wouldn't do anything for him. It's such a stressful thing and i don't have many options to pick someone besides the one we already did.

That should not have been a reason to kick you to the curb, my other god daughter I barely see n me n her mom aren't as tight as we were but she hasn't n will not fire me because she knows I'm capable of being her god mother n my friend actually now has a heart condition so it's quite possible that I will have to step up to the plate sooner than later. So you being away shouldn't have mattered , it's not about how someone will feel this is important it's bout your kids in the end. Let her be mad you would feel like a fool if you n hubby hod forbid weren't on this earth anymore n the only person to take care of your kid was a god parent who really didn't know what it meant n didn't have the heart or ability to take care of your kid now u have an orphan choose wisely. Many have tried to Mk me a god parent n I declined I have 3 official ones two we have our church certificates n I am pressing the other mom to take us to church to get it. To make that vow before God so you know it's real n true. I don't respect these so called God parents who didn't even go to church to get sworn in ppl just want to say they a god parent a lot of young ppl don't know the meaning
