See it takes 15 to 20 minutes to set it but like an hour to be full effect

yeah see I felt her coming out and everything even the placenta I got my epidural very late so this work as it's suppose to, I even felt my legs tho

@schevanya, it's because I pushed the button to get more through the tube so I wouldnt feel no pain

@schevanya, nope I didn't even know she was out until I seen her and when they pulled the placenta off I didn't know either

I got my epidural a little late so wasn't feeling contractions but felt giving birth her head, arms but it didn't hurt just alot of pressure

that's how my hospital was too! I love it and the epidural worked like a charm! I was so scared the if the medicine in the bag ran out that I was gonna be in pain again. nope they brought a whole new bag in. and I had the button to push to get it every 15 minutes if I needed it

@missj_stephens, no it's not a button thing I got the huge needle in my back after they gave me the numbing needle I went through that whole process to get it but they have a bag with the medicine in it at the hospital I was at it's like getting medicine through an IV but instead it's in your back the hospital I gave birth at is one of the top hospitals they do things differently some people don't give you epidural until your 8cm or 9cm but my hospital gives it to you if you want it when your half way there which is 5cm and my insurance is one of the top insurances so they treat you differently with that as well they gave me a button to pump more from the bag after the needle was in my back and all and most hospitals don't give you more after you're done the bag well mines gives you a whole new bag but they put a big huge piece of tap on your back so the needles don't move cause they put it in two places in my back

i have a question.... if the epidural is a button thing when it releases everytime u feel pain....then why do u have to wait to dilate at a certain cm to get it?

lucky you ... i went all natural was only in labor for 3 hrs and it took me half a push to get her out but it hurt like hell and i was making lots of noise lol
