Does anyone know the warning signs for a concussion? my daughter is 13 months and her daycare "forgot " to tell us she apparently fell on her face. I believe she fell outside which is concrete. she slept from 11-12:30. 1:15-3:30 and now she's sleeping again 4-5 so far.... she'll barely eat. she munched on some goldfish, and ate some of her quesidilla. but that's it. she hasn't really eaten and I don't know what to do. I called her pediatrician and our local ER. neither will give medical advice over the phone and its a very long wait at the ER.

Ah gotcha well I've worked with low income families as a nanny because I believe children deserve the best. Hang in there

Yes keep us posted!! I really hope she's ok and there's no reason for her to get hurt even slightly in the first place. She's too young and it's their job to keep an eye on her!
ER it is hun my brother had a concussion doc said it was good we took him it can be very dangerous specially for a small child :/ i hope they tell yhe daycare somthing thats very irrisponsible ! i hope everything goes ok with ur baby !!
I'd raise hell with the assholes at that daycare. that's bull crap. you don't forget to tell a parent their child fell on their face. they shouldn't have kids if they can't do their job
@emilyyy96___, oh that upsets me, & shes not even my child lol! i have a son about 15 days younger than her I couldn't even imagine. if you want i can go up there with you and give them a piece of my mind lol ..... but all seriousness though please keep us updated!
And yes, I'm very mad about the daycare as well. I'm going to get her into a private daycare. there's no reason she should have fell. last time she fell down stairs and had a bump and scratch from the daycare. I have filed a formal complaint with the supervisor and they're being investigated tomorrow

she actually should be seen pretty quick with her symptoms and her age!
Please take her in just to be safe. and I'd find another daycare bc you just don't forget that my baby fell and hit her head. Id be royally pissed and they would here about it.

I wouldn't wait to call her doctor I will take care to the ER right away and get her checked just make sure you don't let her sleep keep her awake, pray she's ok...

Yeah where she hit her head is swollen and purple and red. she's been rubbing her eyes alot and is sweating really bad.
Idk what they were doing outside. she didn't have a jacket on either and it was 38° this morning.
she keeps covering her eyes as she's sleeping right now. this happened about 4 1/2 hours ago just a side note. her soft spot actually feels kind of hard, like it feels like pressure is under it.

first question is why is your little girl outside? uh no! i would be upset if they "forgot" to tell me...... if she is still sleeping wake her up. anytime a baby or child hits their head its good to keep them awake for a period of time. man i wish i could give you more advice :( I would go to the ER though have them look at her head.... does she still have a soft spot? if she does check it to make sure its not sunk in!
agree with @montanamommyof2 . her not eating much is a sign of a concussion also if the light hurts her eyes or she not acting normal it also. does she have a bump on the top of her head?
You cannot let her sleep when she hits her head that hard. You need to keep her awake for a couple of hours before she can sleep. If ahe is not acting herself during then take her to the ER , its always best
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
My sweet baby girl gained her angel wings this morning. She was my best friend, my true love my everything. She was so happy and beautiful, I'm struggling to say good bye. Sleep tight princess, mummy and daddy love you very very much ❤️

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
