Happy Monday everyone!!!

Elainas vent is at 28% today. Lab numbers look better. Maybe getting blood today and possibly restarting feedings tomorrow. Today's cultures aren't back yet but last one was positive for "gram positive cocci in clusters" infectious disease have her on vancomycin and then added clindomycin for the infection. She weighs 1lb 14oz and she has grew in height and head size since last Sunday. Yay she is doing good and is surprising us more every day.

got to hold my little girl yesterday 17 days has been a long time! we have more got taken off of her breathing tube out on a cpap and weighs 1lb 10oz which is 4 oz more then at birth

Elainas weight is 1 pounds 5.2 ounces today. She had to go back on her other breathing tube today, they were having issues keeping her stats up, the ventilator is set at 33, which is where it was when they changed vents. There is blood vessel that allows blood to go around the baby's lungs before birth, this is supposed to close a couple days after birth but when babies are born this young sometimes it doesn't close. As everyone knows well most I had my twin girls at 23 weeks 4 days March 25th we lost or sweet Olivia who was born at 1lb 1oz March 28th but our Elaina who was born at 1lb 6oz is still here fighting with us. Instead of posting updates on all my pages and Facebook I have created one page on Facebook to make updates on. Feel free to add it as well as me.

My little fighter Elaina is doing amazing!! She has Been moved to a new ventilator, which is a good thing so hopefully soon I will get to start doing skin to skin with her. She has been gaining her weight back. I am so amazed at everything that's going on its going to be a long NICU stay but I'm just being positive about everything.

Update on Elaina

brain scan is the same, not worst. Their goal for awhile is to keep her oxygen below 45% she is at 31% right now. They expect a slow go from here on out with dropping the oxygen. There working with blood sugars still. But she is doing good, everything that is happening to be expected at this point.

As everyone knows Olivia has been fighting for her life since Friday evening when she was born. It's with a heavy heart that I say today we lost our precious little girl to her fight. She had been struggling during the night and when the doctor has checked her this afternoon they could not find a heart beat. We have spent as much time as we could today with her. I have so many things I could say right now but I just wanted to update you all. We love you baby girl the little amount of life you ha...

Please keep us in your prayers our sweet little Olivia is putting up a fight to stay with us her oxygen count went way down her lung collapsed again and hoping the medicine has helped. The doctors because of her blood count is scared that she might have a brain bleed. I'm sitting here holding her and it has helped I am taking this a min by min step but I am scared and worried but keeping my hope.
