Hello. Names Shannon. I am currently 21 with no kids. I had a previous pregnancy that ended in a forced abortion. I have just found out on 1/12 that I am four weeks and four days pregnant thanks to the pregnancy test and Google. I am excited since this year and time is going better than the first time around. One can only hope for the best. 💚 Our marriage is set for Feb 29th of this year, and the baby is due Sept 15th give or take.

Had my first ultrasound yesterday. Baby's heart rate was 176bpm. LMP measures 9w and 1d. Baby measures 8w and 6d. I think that's okay, or so I hope. In four weeks I have ultrasound number two to check for down syndrome plus more labs. Sadly they used the heart waves instead of actually hearing the heartbeat. Not what they did for my first pregnancy, but ah well. Least baby looks okay. Wasn't very active, but then again, they were more focused on everything else instead of the baby. Saw the baby'...

So overnight basically, morning sickness hit with a vengeance. Last night it started(mind you I'm 8 weeks and 6 days) and I heard this is the time where it'll get worse. And yes, I'm feeling it now. Thought sleep would get rid of it(even though I had trouble sleeping) and tried eating oranges since I love them and it is a change of smell. Nope. Still tired and feeling like shit. Sad thing is: I'm a DCW(direct care worker) who deals with snot, shit, and pureed food. I just pray to the Lord since ...

So my doctor got my results back. Blood pregnancy test was positive(that was a duh moment) and apparently I'm anemic and my iron is low. I do have to go to the store for this one medication, and trying to figure out what would be easier: fruits and veggies, or taking a supplement of iron a day just to be on the safe side. Needless to say, I'm a little worried since I'm already 8 weeks along. So praying my baby will be okay until I get my iron rechecked in a month.

So I just have a question. I do want to do the blood gender test, but my insurance stated they won't cover it because it's not medically necessary. So for those of you whos insurance decided not to cover it and still got it done, how much did it cost for you?

I'm only like eight weeks pregnant and I feel this acid feeling in my throat. I didn't think I'd get heartburn(?) until later on in the pregnancy. Gonna take a tums and try to sleep it off. Powerade and other drinks didn't help. Only for a minute or so and the feeling was back.

I can't wait until these cramps are over. I'm terrified that the baby's heartbeat won't show in eleven days(can blame my previous pregnancy for that fear) and cannot wait to have my ultrasound. After twelve weeks, I'll probably be less worried. I mean I'm not stressing. Just worried. 💀

I feel so very tired today. Working and don't even feel like working. Didn't even have an appetite to me and was only able to manage down one frozen burrito and one Apple and cinnamon breakfast bar. Hopefully my appetite increases since I know the baby needs the nutrients.

Little bit of TMI. But I hate how dry and itchy my coochy is. I'm always scratching at it and was kinda hoping it'd lubricate a little more than what it is. Hurts to wipe from how dry its been and sex isn't as pleasuring anymore. Damn you unborn child for taking all my lubrication. Gonna talk to the doc in about twelve days and see if its an infection or just a normal part of pregnancy.

So I just got done doing the baking soda test just for the fun of it and it did fizzle. A lot of Chinese calendars are also stating it may be a boy. Not gonna have my hopes up too high, but hey. It's a fun little gender test and cheaper than the intelligender. But I was like, "I knew it." Lol. Time to wait another ten or so weeks to find out by ultrasound since my insurance doesn't cover the gender blood test. ^•^

So I just got done crying for like a minute or two. I went to the restroom and put my spicy chicken sandwich down on the counter. Come back and my dog is munching on my patty. I yelled at her and sat on the couch envying her for eating my sandwich. My fiancé comes down and asks, "What is she chewing on?" "My sandwich." He takes it from her and I start crying.
