So my doctor got my results back. Blood pregnancy test was positive(that was a duh moment) and apparently I'm anemic and my iron is low. I do have to go to the store for this one medication, and trying to figure out what would be easier: fruits and veggies, or taking a supplement of iron a day just to be on the safe side. Needless to say, I'm a little worried since I'm already 8 weeks along. So praying my baby will be okay until I get my iron rechecked in a month.
ok when u sign up they will most likely check ur weight iron etc and if it measures low they should give u the paper at least thats what they did for me, i liked it : )
@miya.mommy93, I plan on going to WIC once I have my ultrasound Fri and signing up for it. And that's neat that it tells you what helps with what. I know it states what food to get, but didn't know it had that on the paper. And @d_ryan, I plan on it.
I've always had issues with being anemic while pregnant. Just get iron pills
i had issues with iron during pregnancy while they told me about iron supplements I got papers from WIC telling me what foods and what to pair together to build iron up! i know fish and chicken were on there and for thr smaller things it suggested drinkin a small glass of oj with
@dawn.sander, Yeah. I been anemic for awhile. And the doc did warn me that I may get constipated (which is fine by me. It'd be a change from having loose stools for over three months). But I will definitely keep that in mind. ^•^
Ive been anemic my whole life, I recommend just taking the iron supplements but make sure you eat looooots of fiber cause they can make you really constipated.
they can give you prenatals with iron in them
