I am very unhappy thanks to this snowstorm. Due to being a direct care worker, I went to work yesterday at 2p. Last night, someone called off so I got stuck doing an overnight plus my normal shift of 9a-9p today. Okay, I can take my meds tonight. NOW this snowstorm is talking 20-30inches. I'm sorry. I'm six weeks pregnant and have not skipped a prenatal vitamin. I didn't bring snacks, I didn't bring extra clothes, and I need a shower. If I get stuck here one more night, I'm going to have a breakdown. And I refuse to ask my fiancé to drive here just to drop off snacks and stuff with how bad the roads are. Ugh. One reason I can't stand winter. I pray to the Lord no one calls off tonight so I can go home.
@lillyb, It does. Hopefully it won't take too long and hopefully my car will be ready to drive by time I have to go to work tomorrow. Can't wait for this snow to end. Hopefully it's the last snowfall of the season
That does rly blow >.< I had to help my husband shovel out his car about an hr ago
@lillyb, I am going to be relieved at 8 and have to be back tomorrow at 1. But I been shoveling and my main goal is to shovel my car out. Yay. But yeah. Would love if a snow plow would plow my car out. But it sucks. Snow sucks. Especially being pregnant and not having a snowblower.
yupp it def sucks especially with u being pregnant and such. I hope someone releaves u soon. my husband works for the state school and is mandatory to go out in this to go to work.
@lillyb, Yep. I'm basically stuck here until someone decides to come in to their shift. And if there's no one, then we end up having to stay and cover their shift since we need two people in the house.
I feel yea I work in the same field and when it's bad like it is my company makes them stay at the house until roads r clear
I hope so too. Plz be safe hunny.
