these schools know when parents are getting paid 😂, I got my paycheck yesterday and this morning Natalie came up to me to remind me to add funds to her book fair wallet!! since everything is expensive even book fairs they suggest a minimum of $30. but it's the experience and I'm thankful Manny and I can give this to them. Still, I just got paid!!! let me enjoy my funds for more than a day 😭

Oh my God I talk about this with my husband weekly. I just said it last night, didn't they just have a book fair, didn't they just have pictures. They do pictures twice a year now they do book fair twice a year for the kids now. And they constantly want donations.

@ekko I'm glad it's voluntary because we need a fundraiser and a donation for my family lol. I highly doubt the schools around where I live are underfunded. But I could be wrong. We live in a snotty rich town. Again not that that means anything but that's just the look they give around here, especially with the way a lot of people around here act. I mean they look at blue collar workers like my husband and they stick up their noses. Also I didn't know that the money that goes to the pictures and book fairs goes to the school, I thought that went to those businesses who did that

A percentage of the picture and book fair money goes to the school. Most goes to the company but I think we got a check close to $5k from book fairs last year.
Living in a high income town definitely means schools are better funded than most. But I would bet people don’t willingly vote to increase their already high property taxes each time the school board proposes a new budget.
