Okay so my youngest is still coughing quite a bit and has tons of nasal congestion. I’m suctioning frequently but I feel like I need to do more. I’ve gave her some zarbees cough and mucus today to see if that helps her cough any. She still doesn’t have a lot of energy and is still super fussy. Luckily she’ll drinking her bottles and staying well hydrated! She did have a fever yesterday so we started rotating Tylenol and Motrin again. She’s usually so playful and happy. It’s killing me to see her sleep constantly and be miserable 😩 is there anything else that I can do to help her?

Turn your shower on the hottest it’ll go and sit in the bathroom with her. The steam will do wonders for the congestion. If you don’t have a humidifier already, you can get them pretty cheap at any drug store or Walmart/target. Are you using saline drops before you suction?

I have a cool mist humidifier but the few times that I’ve ran it she seems to cough more and idk if it’s just a coincidence or what but it freaked me out so I stopped running it 😅 I am using saline before I suction and I’m using a nose frida because my bulb thing just wasn’t cutting it.

@oggirlmom, I’m definitely going to be doing that when she wakes up!!

@mamallama2317, the cool mist is good for her! Sometimes even bundling kiddos up and taking them out into the cold air does wonders for coughs. I’m sorry she’s going through this being so little :( I would try to keep her propped up at all times, lying flat will make everything settle. Which is also hard when “back to sleep” is the standard.
