Что делать, если ребёнку планируют делать поворот, а не кесарево сечение?
Had a growth scan again this morning. Had to dash off before they could log the results as Charlie had a bad accident at school. Just had a call to say baby is breech and they want me in on Monday to discuss either turning baby or a section. I feel like in a 10 second phone call my options have been ripped off the table. Has anybody had baby turned and what was their experience? I really want to avoid a section where possible

I know it was a 10 second call but I'm sure the meeting on monday will make you feel much better after you discuss your options with someone. They will probably give you lots of advice on how to turn baby should you not want to go ahead with a section xx

The thing that’s doing my head in is I know for a fact she is flipping between breech and engaged, so she’s more than capable of going head down but now they’re just focused on trying to push for a c-section. I’ve no experience with sections, say I had a section date booked and I went into labour, would they let me birth naturally at the point or would the rush me in for a section? X

I've no idea lovely I havent had sections either. I definitely wouldn't rush for a section if you can avoid it. The thing with hospitals is they just want to rush for the quickest and easiest option for them. You're only 35 weeks I'd still give her a few weeks to flip again if it was me xx

My middle son was breech and he turned head down couple weeks before labour, I didn’t even feel him turn around 🙈 xx

She’s turning between the two 100%. I know because it’s so painful when she does 🤣 some days the pressure in my pelvis is horrendous and other days there’s nothing x

I was not looking forward to having him manually turned but thankfully he stayed put, hopefully she stays head down closer to term. I was told I didn’t have to get a c section either way and they took more of a wait and see approach x

Lola was sideways until 36 weeks when she turned. George never did and was born breech!

@jo.wilcox, I had mine booked in but went into early labour. Turned up at the hospital 10cm so they took me down. They tried to sit me up for the epidural but I told them to wait for the contraction to finish and my waters broke and that was it! I had no pain relief or gas and air and he came feet first in the theatre!

this was my “holy fuck what just happened” moment! They had even taped my rings up ready for surgery!

My fourth was breech, they turned him at 38weeks with plans to induce afterward but decided at the last minute that he looked like he would stay head down and sent me home instead. When I turned up in labour at 40+5 the midwife wasn't sure what was engaged into my pelvis so they scanned and sure enough the bugger was breech and engaged that way, I was also 8cms and progressing fast so I chose to overrule them and try naturally and honestly out of my five labours his is still my favourite x

My cousin was breach and I went with my aunty to the hospital to turn the baby (my uncle was deployed) and she was screaming in pain. It didn’t work and she went into labour that night but that was her own experience xxx

I’m going to avoid having her turned I think tbh. Heard too many stories of not only how agonising it was and failed but things like babies heart rate plummeted, cord got tangled etc etc. When I looked online the success rate was only 52%, doesn’t seem worth it
