My neighbor of 35 years passed away from ALS. Ive known this man my whole life. Im so heartbroken for him and his family... 😔😔😔Life is just crazy. Only 53 years old and was diagnosed just 4 years ago. 😭😩
Als is a awful disease. I was a car giver for somone with it. And as sad as it was he was so happy to pass. Your body basically freezes progressively you loose movement and speech and independence but your brain is very much just as active as ever. It's so sad and I'm sorry that happened but just remember there out of a lot of pain now 💔😞
ALS is such a hard disease. I worked with a woman who had it and she was in her 50s. She was supposed to work 3 days in a row with me (this was 9 years ago) and she showed up the first day but not the 2nd. I told our boss and she said "she probably forgot. Shes old" so she called and left a nasty message saying if shes too old to work she should quit and she would be fired if she didnt show up tomorrow. So the next day she didnt show again and the manager called and fired her and I asked if I could go check on her. Boss said no because it was my shift. So on my break I called the cops and she has passed away. My heart broke and I quit my job. (I was working at a gas station). I was so upset. Called the district manager and got the manager that was working fired. ALS is something I'd never wish on my worst enemy.
We just had a cousin by marriage pass from ALS. It's such a nightmare. I have treated patients with it, and watching the disease progress and the anxiety of knowing death is creeping upward is horrifying. Sending lots of love to all of you, it's such an ugly disease.
Oh my God... this is my first experience to this disease and it absolutely crushed my heart to pieces. This man was tough, strong, loud. Used to be a boxer, and always positive. Watching him still fighting through his pain to the bitter end was inspiring but also very heartbreaking... 😔😔😔😔
