so I don’t know if any of your children do this but my son chews EVERYTHING! From plastic, to his toys, ends of pencils and now even wood from his bunk bed? It sounds weird but there’s a full on hole nearly in his bed because of how much he’s chewed it? This can’t be normal right? I’ve rung the doctors and due a phone call some point this afternoon but has anyone actually gone through this or know what could be wrong?; maybe he’s lacking some kind of vitamin or something? I’m hoping they’ll do him a blood test!

Don't let them just fob you off if you think something isn't right then it isn't right.. although I do agree I think they grow out of these things. My youngest Is forever doing this he just last week ribbed my wallpaper off in my bedroom 🙃 he doesn't actually eat it though as these always lots of bits and he's another one for sponge! Ring back tomorrow and ask To speak with somebody eles for a second opinion, hope you get some more clear answers 😘💖

I have one that does it. He chews anything! Woodwork, foam, plastic, cardboard. Puts small toys, coins, stones in his mouth too x

I'm sure there is something called Pica or something like that which sounds like what your child is doing. I'm sure someone on here son/daughter did it possibly.. @mrsbodell
( sorry if it's not you Kate!) 😂. Xx

Yes that was my Lola! Had a thing for eating paper in any form. She always chews fabric and constantly has her fingers in her mouth.
You might want to speak to your gp as he may need some blood tests to rule out anaemia or he may be lacking in another vitamin. Common in small children. X

I’ve rung the gp earlier today! They were supposed to be giving me a phone call back and I haven’t heard anything..I can’t see them ringing me now which means I’ll have to ring again tomorrow x
Jessica🦋··

He could be lacking something or just one of those kids who bites everything ! Reminded me of me and my brother we used to bite out bunk bed too 😂xxx
Jessica🦋··
No but Jess it’s everything! Pencils, the bed, plastic, his toys surely eating wood can’t be normal?🤯cos it looks as though he’s swallowing it to? Because there’s no wood anywhere else😒xxx
