So doctors are out here really dying from taking the Covid vaccine and jobs really have the audacity to enforce it on…

I personally know 2 nurses who died from covid. They would of jumped at the chance of getting the vaccine, I continue to do my part because I know how much they sacrificed to keep us all safe.

I would rather die from catching Covid on my own terms than from a vaccine someone is basically trying to force me to get. They should not be demanding people to get something where enough test has not been conducted and people are out here possibly dying from it.

It will be on my own terms if I am choosing to leave my house and continuously expose myself to Covid. That is my choice and under conditions that I am deciding vs being told that if I don’t get this vaccine I won’t be allowed back at this job.

It’s your choice not to get the vaccine, you would just have to look for another job. Employers can place requirements on their employees and the employees can choose to work elsewhere if they don’t agree with the requirements. No one is forcing anyone to do anything.

It being “slim pickings for jobs” is not enough for me to be okay with possibly dying from a vaccine that has been briefly analyzed. Goodluck to you as well.

I understand that completely my point that I was trying to make is that employers should not be requiring something that has not been researched enough. And with a current pandemic happening and a recession coming soon they know there aren’t many employment opportunities so obviously some people will result to getting something they clearly don’t want but feel as though they have no choice to keep bills paid and it shouldn’t be that way. It should be a choice especially if these same jobs didn’t require vaccines in the past like the flu shot which is also pretty contagious around this time every year. Obviously there is nothing we can do about this but doesn’t make it right.

I honestly think we should wait before we blame the vaccine for the drs death. Like @ekko, said we don’t know the cause of death for all we know he had underlying health conditions and it was simply a coincidence that he had the vaccine 2 weeks prior. I think the fact that people are taking this and running with it will actually cause far more issues. I can’t remember who it was but one of the ladies received the vaccine not too long ago, and her only side effects where a sore arm and being tired. I personally will be making educated choices for my family and I based on actual peoples experience (that I know) not an ambiguous article that alludes to the death being caused by a vaccine. But again to each their own.

ETA: my mom works in healthcare and she is required to take a flu shot yearly for her job. Her job will now require her to take the covid vaccine since she works with elderly. I think the risk of her exposing her patients are slim but she’s going to take the vaccine because she doesn’t want to a) bring it home to us or b) be the reason why someone who is elderly and immune compromised ends up dying from this disease.

exactly. I 100% agree people need to make their own choices but if you’re choosing to not be vaccinated then I whole heartedly expect you to social distance and keep wearing a mask to make sure you keep your germs to yourself.

completely! But even the people who are taking all the precautions, they are still getting it. To me, a vaccine is a better precaution than just hoping you don’t get it. Especially because covid is so different for every person out there.

yes!! That’s what some people don’t get. Even when you take the biggest precautions some people are still getting sick. I’m going to be transparent and say that I won’t be getting the vaccine YET I’m currently pregnant and I plan on breastfeeding so I want to make sure that there’s sufficient information on how that will affect me and my newborn but once enough info is known I will gladly be taking that vaccine. The risk of me getting it and giving it to someone I love is not worth the minor side effects.

Maybe we should wait but it’s such a coincidence isn’t it? Not only that but I’ve heard of many people having weird side effects from it so that also doesn’t help the fact that the people telling us to get it are also the same ones possibly dying from it. My friends mom who works in healthcare actually advised us not to get it so I’m very much so on the fence. I think it should definitely be a choice for individuals to decide instead of being told it’s “mandatory”

I know jobs in healthcare require vaccinations yearly but not every job does and the jobs I work along with my boyfriend have never had the “flu shot” requirement so not sure why he’s being told this Covid vaccine is required. Also I have done research on it and being that the vaccine has not been analyzed enough there is also not enough information on it to research.

I completely agree. They are encouraging people who have things, like being pregnant or major allergies, don’t get it. My sister just got hers this week because she is an important government employee and she feels perfectly fine.

My husband got his first dose this past Monday. He had a sore arm at the injection site for about 36 hours and other than that he felt fine. He typically feels crummy after his flu shot, but he said he didn’t feel half as bad after getting his covid shot as he does when he gets his flu shot.

I have nurse friends who have gotten it and the only thing they felt was tired (but they also experience that with the flu shot) other than that they feel great. One of my friends will get her second shot on 1/26 and she’s excited she still takes precautions but she feels a little more safe. Those are the people I’m taking my information from the ones I actually know. Lol

that’s strange most of my medical friends are encouraging people to get the vaccine when they can because they say (and I quote) “this is the only way we can actually try to flatten the curve”. I think jobs are requiring this due to the amount of people dying and being infected. No one wants to be liable for this. They tried to allow people the chance to flatten the curve...and look how well we did. I think unfortunately people are just too selfish to try to defeat this virus which is why vaccines are going to be mandatory in a lot of places. I just think if you don’t want the vaccine then unfortunately you’ll have to try to find another job, which in a lot of places is harder said thank done.

I think in the coming months we’ll have more info and then I think we all need to make the best choice for our families regardless of what consequences we’ll have.

same! We have a family friend who is a nurse and was part of the trails. She feels so much better knowing she is doing her part and is encouraging everyone to get theirs when they can. She’s seen too many people on ventilators and fighting for their life.

If you're lucky, you'll be asymptomatic.

We all take risks in life. Having to lose your financial stability because of a couple shots should be one that you evaluate thoroughly.

Consider the possibility that, if you or your husband become sick and there's no income, how will you handle that? How will he handle that? What impact will that have on the child?

I get what you’re saying but we won’t be taking it. I think I’m doing what’s best for my child by not injecting something into his body that has very minimal information on it. We have savings and in the process of starting a small family business. I’m hoping it’s up and running before we get to the point of possibly being unemployed. If not we will take our risk of possibly struggling because we aren’t injecting unknown substances that could be so detrimental to the point where it’s killing people into our bodies. Not saying I am totally against getting the vaccine because we do get flu shots every year but I’m just not interested in getting it right now nor do I feel I should be “forced” by establishments to do so. I will continue to take precautions and wear my mask like I’ve been doing and hope for the best. You and your kids can be the lab rats and we’ll see how it affects you all first in this first year or two and maybe we’ll consider it. Until than I pass 100%

lmao YES. If you eat McDonald’s or anything processed, you do not need to be worried about what’s in the covid vaccine. Saying a doctor died after getting the vaccine, without a cause of death, is just like people reporting to VAERS that their kid was hit by a car within 24 hours of receiving a vaccine. Until a cause of death has been determined, there’s not a reason to say it’s directly caused by the vaccine just that he HAD received the vaccine prior to his death.
