I gained 40lbs with my first pregnancy and I had a vaginal birth an DD was 6lbs 0oz. So like you've stated an other ladies I'd talk to your doctor again. My friend was 115 when she got pregnant she was 150 at delivery and did vaginal birth to a 10lbs baby. But I'm also 26 weeks today and have my glucose test in 2 weeks I hope I get the orange on that's what I had with dd1 an it was pretty good.
Thank you ladies for your input about what my doctor said. I still haven't picked a doctor yet. So I'll ask my other doctor when I see him. It just kinda upset me that's all.
I gained 60lbs with my first. Delivered vaginally without any problem. I'm 29w with my second. Started waaaaay overweight. My obgyn never once said I couldn't deliver vaginally. When I told him I was a bit concerned because I was already on the heavy side, his answer was "you'll lose everything once your family is done". So... Seriously, she seems to be after the money that comes with a c-section. ?
Huh? She's telling you because you are gaining too much weight you have to have a c section or because you are small you have to have one? That sounds like madness to me. I was 92lbs pre pregnancy. They pushed me to gain at least 20-25 lbs. I went up to about 119ish and I had a 7lb 3oz baby vaginally. My ped never told me anything about the potential of a csection. I would get a new ob or tell her you're not having a c section unless going forward you have complications and even then make sure you get a second opinion.
And thank you ladies. I really don't want a c section unless it's completely necessary. Not because my child will be "over ten pounds" due to weight gain.
@maddison sounds like your doctor is full of s*** . Your weight doesn't affect the baby. Gestational diabetes can affect the baby_causing an increase in growth.. But your weight gain isn't shocking or out of hand. it doesn't warrant a c-section threat either. I wouldn't let it worry you. I'd fight it if the doctor persists on a c-section.
She told me that the goal was to have a vaginal delivery and I have a petite body before I got pregnant I was 103 pounds I'm like 126 pounds now, she said it'll affect the baby's weight. Idk. Just kinda sucks though. I love to have sweets but not all the time.
When I went back to talk to my doctor, she told me I gained 20 pounds. She said if I gained more than ten more pounds I might have to do a csection): . She said the goal was to have a 6 pound baby because of my body mass.
I love oranges so that's why I downed it within four minutes.
Just got mine today . I have to drink it in 4 weeks tho at my next appt. my mom put it in her work fridge since i accidentally left it in her car when she dropped me off and she stuck a note on it incase someone at her job got thirsty and saw the water in the fridge "pregnancy sugar baby water.
