Funny story, we made tacos last night to celebrate the New Year and DH brought home parsley instead of cilantro🤣
I instantly knew they were parsley when I looked at it. But he still ate it with the tacos. Flavor was different but not bad😄
It is amazing even with soup. Try it with a Lipton soup and throw in potatoes with it and garlic. 😋
I did read somewhere that cilantro does have a soapy taste to some people 🥴 glad I’m not one of them. I love the flavor it adds (& for me, it’s not soap - thank God)

Cilantro is the best. I put it on everything and it’s the main ingredient in sofritos.
I don’t mind it as long as it’s not excessive amounts. 🥴
I’m on team hate cilantro too!! Most places mix it in with stuff so you can’t even ask for no cilantro
If I see it on something I want to order I tell them no cilantro! Think the first time I had it was at a restaurant, I thought they did something to my food because it tasted like soap.
@luvbeingamom18, yeah it’s gross. Definitely read about it being genetic before too. I think it’s like less than 15% of the population cannot stand cilantro
I think the way people perceive cilanto has to do with your genes. I had someone tell me once after they took one of those genetic tests that the test said that they were likely to think cilantro tasted like soap..

I love cilantro but I read somewhere for some reason some people think it taste like soap so your not alone it’s pretty common my step mom Hates it and compared it to soap as well
