Wrecks.
This is going to be all over the place. Last night we got a call FIL was in a bad wreck. We start preparing to go to wherever he is, we find out he’s in Nashville TN. Six hours away.
No idea why he was here...
He wasn’t alone, there was a friend of his with him and a dog.... they were merging onto the interstate and ran out of lane, jumped over in front of a semi truck and hit it. Neither of them were wearing seatbelts, trooper told my husband car flipped multiple times. They have no idea which one of them was driving. His friend didn’t make it to the hospital. FIL has been sedated, multiple surgeries- spleen, heart, lungs are collapsed, back is broken, has gotten a ton of blood and pelvis is cracked.
I drove all the way here, DH worked all day Friday and I let him rest some on the drive. We left our house at 9 last night and finally checked into a hotel at 4:30 this morning.
And on top of that, a guy was super strange with me this morning at the hotel. He offered to help me carry somethings to my room (I was the only one awake so I went down to grab the kids some breakfast, my hands were full, I said thank you but I can carry it) next thing I know he’s in the elevator with me. He makes small talk, no big deal, I assumed he worked there. We get off elevator, he pulls a room key from his pocket and tries to get me to go into a room so we can talk. WTF. I quickly got into our room and told my husband what happened. He went down to the front desk to let them know what happened.
THEY MADE US LEAVE.
I can’t wait to get the hell out of TN.

I am so sorry you had to go through that and what your fil had to go through. I will pray for him and hope that he will be able to recover. 😔🙏🏻❤️

Is it possible your husband, given his father is in a very life or death situation, took out all his frustrations on the front desk person and that's why they asked you all to leave?
I'm not saying he's the bad guy here (that nasty ass pervert who clearly couldnt take no for answer and was trying to get you into his room is the bad guy), but my brother has a weird way of holding things in, and when something sends him over the edge, he ends up taking it out, full force, on the first person he can. Grief is a powerful force.
Regardless, this is the absolute last thing your family needs and I'll keep your family in my thoughts.
Did you guys manage to find another place to stay? Keep us updated on his condition.
