My almost 9 year old is still using a high back booster. She’s not a very big kid. She is about 4ft tall and 55 lbs. I can’t seem to find a clear answer on when it’s okay to switch to just a booster without the high back when it comes to height and weight. I think she’s starting to feel a little embarrassed about sitting in it with the high back.. Does anyone have more info on when just the booster is okay?

If you’re on Facebook join either car seats for the littles or car seat safety. They’re run by trained car seats techs and can definitely help

My son is 8 and I’m keeping him in high back booster until 65lbs. He’s currently 56lbs

Thank you!

As long as she can sit up and still a regular booster is fine....
My 8 year old still prefers the highback especially on long car trips because she can fall asleep and not worry about sitting up straight
