Ladies yesterday I posted about my daughter's feet they looked like they were red and had bumps well they look a lot better but now it's her stomach and chest it looks like a rash. She does have eczema so idk if I should take her into the hospital or not. Also I was bathing her and she tried getting up and hit her eye on the tub I feel like such a bad mom right now... does it look like she needs stitches. It's not bleeding
My daughter got bumps on her feet and legs and arms, when I took her in the doctor said she had hands, foot, and mouth disease.
@blessedmama121619, sorry I left you hanging like that with scary sounding info. It sounds worse than what it is, the last part disease is what freaks a mama out. But it’s exactly like @_dezzy said
@blessedmama121619, she hasn’t been out in public since before everything got bad with this virus and hasn’t been around anyone except immediate family (no children except my oldest daughter) so I have no idea how she got it. And no one has been sick. But the pedi said she’s had many kids go in with the same exact thing here lately. She also said it’s just something that has to run it’s course because it’s viral and antibiotics don’t treat viruses. So you basically just treat the symptoms. Like Tylenol for pains/fever and Bactrim for in case she scratched the rash to prevent infection.
But I wouldn’t rule out eczema if that’s something she regularly has. You never know because many rashes look pretty much alike.
@kitkat6429 yeah I think that's what it is her eczema then. Cuz her skin does look like that.
We just tried not to bath to much and when I did I made oatmeal baths to help sooth! But I started using this cream and it really helped a lot! I’ll screenshot a picture of it and show you! There are so many lotions I have tired and they don’t have smells!
But this one has a little smell! It smells so good!
Does she have a fever? If not, then no need to go to the hospital. Just keep an eye on it and call her pedi.
@blessedmama121619, again, I’d just watch it and call your pedi. The hospital is the last place I’d be going right now. Especially if she isn’t super uncomfortable.
@littleonemorning yeah you have a point. Do you think I should buy like benadryl cream or something?
@blessedmama121619, my daughter had hand foot mouth disease! Took a little over a week to go away unfortunately there’s nothing to rush the process you just let it go away on its own. It looked exactly like your pics! She was never around kids but her pedi said its so contagious a shopping cart could have passed it to her.
