Okay. So my sis that’s never experienced any mental health issues. She came over on Friday and was crying and told me she’s been having extreme anxiety over the fear of dying and what happens after you die. She’s also feeling depressed and things she loves aren’t giving her joy anymore.
I made her text our dr because obviously she needs help. Our dr said she would call her Monday. But she’s literally been crying for 5 days straight.
Any advice on what we should do? She’s not suicidal at all. If anything it’s the opposite but she’s clearly extremely depressed.

Talking, meditation, trying to get out and get some fresh air. When she sees the doctor medication may be what she needs temporarily.

Meditation has helped my husband a TON, if she would be open to it, I can text you the app he uses. It has been amazing for him.

Until her dr can intervene and get her some relief, I would try to help her and make her life as stress free as possible. I was so overwhelmed by everything when I was dx with severe depression after my 3rd miscarriage last year. Is she sleeping? She may need to take benadryl to sleep, not getting enough sleep can make anxiety so much worse.

I would love to know what the app is called! She is taking a lot of gravol to sleep at night and try to sleep through the day because she can’t tolerate the anxiety.
I just had dinner with her and she hardly ate and had to leave to the bathroom in the middle because she started to cry.
She lives with my parents so they’ve been trying to keep her busy y playing cards and doing things but 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had the same fear and issues. Keep talking to her. Mind over matter. Live in the present. We all have to die one day. Live for today and focus on the now. Let her know it’s normal to have these feelings. Have her meditate.
