Really need some mom advice.
Olivia has been diagnosed with a viral infection.
Sunday she did a ten hour stretch with no wet nappy and same Monday.
She's refusing to drink anything except for on a night time she will take a couple of bottles
I took her to the hospital yesterday and they told me to fluid challenge her basically putting 5ml of liquid ever so often it was working yesterday but she's all out refusing that today.
What ever liquid I can get in her mouth she just holds it in there and then spits it
The only change in today she's having wet nappies which is an improvement but I'm still really worried
Any tips or advice

I've already been up the hospital yesterday they said she wasn't dehydrated and she doesn't like them x

poor girl, awful when feel helpless. Hope she improves is it the sickness viral bug shes got? Mine had it sat and sunday and everytime drank was sick. Used the dirolyte and helped but like you say urs doesnt want to drink 😔 x

it's not a sickness one it started on Friday the doctor give me dioralyte but can't even get juice down her let alone medicine I just generally don't know what to do x

Is she eating? You can give her foods with high water content like grapes, cucumber, strawberries, watermelon, celery, oranges and soup xx

That’s good she’s going a wee
It’s easier said than done to worry
Does she like any ice cream or lollies,milkshakes or anything to keep her hydrated
I’d ring 111 for advice and say where you were in hospital yesterday they might want her to go in again but I don’t know sorry if what I put is no help xx

She is eating but I'm generally at my wit's end I've tried her with any fruits that are water based she won't eat them I tried ribena , milkshake, fruit juice etc but she will literally take no liquid and she's now urinating so they said to keep her at home and keep trying to get fluids into her xx

oh bless her :( that is abit strange how she fights it throughout the day but then at night she takes it fine
Reminds me abit of my son with his bottles he has 3 throughout the day he fights it during the day but at night just seems like he’s relaxed enough to take the bottle xx

it's mind blowing to be honest, wish I had some sort of mind reading device at these times so she could tell me what's wrong cx
