Does my 21 month old need a different schedule? He’s been fighting his nap for the past week and today he skipped it completely. I tried at 11:45 which is his usual nap time and then again at 2:00 but he wouldn’t sleep either time.
Should I change his schedule somehow? He gets up at 7:45 am, nap at noon then goes to bed at 8/8:30.
I thought this was a pretty normal schedule for his age but the fact that he’s refusing to nap makes me think he needs a different nap time. He’s so fussy and cries all day if he doesn’t sleep.
During the week I have to pick up my daughter at 2:00 so I can’t make that his nap time. Usually he sleeps from 12 ish to 1:30/1:45 then we go.

He might just be done with naps, my oldest cut naps out by 1.5ish I just stopped put him down it wasn’t worth the fight and days he wanted to nap he would just fall asleep on the couch

No I don’t think so. He’s very drowsy when I put him down, but he stands up and talks to himself to keep himself awake. He rubs his eyes and yawns all day long. On Saturday he slept 2.5 hours because he was so tired from all the short, irregular naps that week. My daughter napped until she was 4! I think he still needs it, he just fights it.
