For the last 3 nights my baby has been waking up crying bloody murder for about 5-10 minutes straight! I’ve burped him, checked if it’s gas, check if he has a temperature, touched his body & he didn’t want to be touched, tried hugging him (wasn’t an option) ,gave him a Tylenol & added cooling gel to his gums.
Tomorrow morning he has an appointment with his pediatrician (hopefully we get told what exactly is going on)!!
**3 people in my household are sick with a virus!!
(Headache, body aches, nausea/vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain)
@simply_mee, sounds like a night terror. It’s a form of sleep walking and normal. Best thing to do is sit near him and talk gently/sing to him. Don’t touch him, as hard as it is, and once he’s out of it give him a kiss and tuck back in.
I had them for 2 years when I was little and my 3 year old had them continuously for a year, and still had them periodically. It’s scary for us, but they don’t remember them
Is he actually awake or just eyes open? Does he respond to seeing you? Sounds like night terrors, but those are in your sleep
