I’m so sick of my sister comparing when she was pregnant to when I was pregnant. Her new thing is “well I went a week over my due date and you ONLY went to your due date.” Her last thing was “I felt more pain than you since you got the epidural.” (She doesn’t even know what pain I went through to begin with as my epidural stopped working completely) EVERY damn thing is a competition with this girl. Husbands, houses, wedding rings, clothing sizes, weddings, husbands’ jobs. I’m sick of it. 🙄

🙄🙄🙄 goodness!!! I have sisters like that and even had “friends” like that. Fast forward to today, I limit the time I spend with my sisters (we talk on the phone often though, I just choose not to share things they’ll try to compete about). I just love them from a distance and I’ll catch you on the holidays. I treasure my peace of mind! I don’t do well in those circumstances. As for those friends, I don’t talk to one at all anymore. I’m cordial with another but I hid her story and etc from my timeline on Facebook and Instagram because it’s toxic energy. We had our daughter’s not even a month apart from each other. Being pregnant at the same time bonded us.. but when we had our daughters, EVERYTHING became a competition for her and I couldn’t even enjoy posting about my daughter out of fear that she’d think I’m competing and her in turn always trying to outdo me 🤦🏽♀️.. It was exhausting. I’m much happier now being cordial and not seeing anything she posts! Compete with yourself darling. You have to do what’s best for you at the end of the day 🤷🏽♀️

Just brush it off and take it as a compliment. If someone is constantly trying to compare their lives to yours...they are envious. Smirk, do a hair flip& keep smiling
