I honestly have a love/hate relationship with the newborn phase...I feel like I'm second guessing myself with everything! Whether or not to continue nursing/pumping or to just bottle feed so I can keep what's left of my sanity, whether I'm nursing just because my midwife/hospital was almost forcing me to or because I genuinely want to....😭🤷‍♀️ I've been having this debate with myself all night and I just want to cry...I'd feed Haley and an hour later she'd be hungry again so that's why I'm debating on giving her formula. I'm pumping as well but even with nursing and a bottle she'd still be hungry...

I know fed is best but I had to formula feed my first, Molly cause she was early and at first I genuinely wanted to try nursing and after a week I feel like it's forced, like I'm doing it just because I was told to....and while I do like the natural bond that nursing brings it just feels like it's a chore and it's getting frustrating cause she's flailing her head and arms around it frustrates me that she can have milk in her mouth and then she turns her head, unlatch and it takes a few minutes for her to relatch....

Honestly the newborn phase is my least favorite. I have teenagers so I can’t say it’s the hardest stage. But I think it sucks THE MOST!

😭 oy what a first night back...Haley didn't eat well at all last night (3 small feedings, about 5/10mins when I know she can nurse for longer and has) I was getting frustrated with myself cause it should be so natural, just put her on and she eats but it hurts so dang much I have to put nipple cream on before and after a feeding....she's has lost 7% of her birth weight (7lbs instead of 7lbs 9oz) it's like she'd nurse for about 10mins and then about 30mins later she'd want to eat again which frustrates me cause she just ate and then we struggle to latch again til she finally does and then she does it again feeds for a couple of minutes and then gets hungry again...getting horrible flashbacks to when I couldn't nurse my first and I feel like I just can't do it... Update: the morning has been better and after talking it over with my hubby we decided on this plan. Plan a is to nurse as much as I can and during the day she does well but plan b is if we have another night of struggling to eat then we'll bottle at night

Quick question to breast feeding mum i would like to breast feed my baby when she comes as I’ve never really breast fed my other 2, is it uncomfortable also how is pumping out milk????? For bottle feeds is the pump uncomfortable... I would normally just breast feed and not pump when home but I do drive so when I’m out and can’t stop I’ll have to use a bottle...I remember trying to breast feed my youngest and I keeped getting milk ducts why was that??? I think that’s why I gave up as I was scared lol
