Anyone just breast pumping and bottle feeding their milk?

@schevanya yeah the shield didn't work for me. So pumping and bottle it is :)

I'm just pumping and giving in the bottle she doesn't latch only if I have the shield but it makes a little harder to hold baby, milks gets everywhere. ..

Girl you should be proud ! It takes true commitment to pump and feed ! Especially when it would be sooo much easier just to give formula. Every ounce counts ☺️ just remember to drink tons of water...you're welcome & if you have any more questions feel free to ask ☺️

@hayleymarie okay cool I've been doing every 2 hours she is only 2 days old and I got 1oz! I was proud lol. Thank you for the info.

For the first 6 weeks I pumped every 2 hours to establish my supply and now I've been pumping every 4 hours since I have an over supply...I still get the same amount as I did when I was pumping every 2 it's just all at once and not split up I get 6-8oz every time I pump

@hayleymarie I bought the Medela and then I will be getting the bra thing to make hands free. How often do you pump?

Me too I will let them latch for the first month then ween them off but still pump into the bottle!

I plan on pumping and bottle feeding as well.

I've been exclusively pumping for almost 2 months now ☺️I've got inverted nipples and she was tongue tied to breast feeding did not work for us we tried the shield as well as a bunch of other things and that wasn't working... I suggest investing in a really good pump if you plan to exclusively pump cause you'll be using it A LOT ...I have the freemie freedom since it frees up my hands to do other things ☺️

Im doing both as well. As my nipples are not easy to grab on the hospital gave me this (in the picture) and he sucks on the nipple just like bottle feeding.

I honestly wanted to just do that and only that. how's everything going so far?

The Lactation lady told me it's easier for them to suck from a bottle then breast, they don't have to use their other mouth muscles to suck from a bottle but do from the breast. @seleneromanortiz12

A lot of women have inverted nipples like myself, so my daughter will latch but can't latch well. So i was hand expressing now pumping and bottle feeding will try breast again when my milk is in. @seleneromanortiz12

i was actually thinking about doing that because ima have to go back work im afraid its gonna throw her off going from my boob to bottle you know??.
