Bit of a weird one for George today... he’s had his 6 week check and they’ve pointed out a few problems.
His left hip is still clicking really badly and they suspect he may have hip dysplasia so he’s booked in for a scan at the hospital.
The doctor also couldn’t find one of his testicles so she thinks he either doesn’t have one or he has a retractile testicle.
Has any one else ever had these problems come up?

Scarlett had hip dysplasia when she was born so if you need to ask any questions I'm here, the scan is just an ultrasound, it's over quickly and you find out the results pretty much straight away. She had to wear a pavlik harness for a couple of months but now her hips are perfect!

Was it one hip or both? Only one of his hips click. I think the scan is next week, just have to double check. How old was she when she was diagnosed

it was only one hip that clicked but both hips had shallow joints when she had the scan, it was abit earlier as it was picked up in her newborn check so got the harness around 3 weeks old. But if there is an issue they are super quick to get treatment sorted. We had the scan and we went back to see a specialist and get a harness the next day.

his hip clicked for both the newborn checks in the hospital and they said it would probably stop but it was doing it again today. Will just have to see what happens at the scan.

Yeah, my 4yo has only 1 testicle. He had key hole surgery at 14months old to explore, they said sometimes one can get stuck, if found they would push it down, however they didn’t find one at all. Some cells where there so they wasn’t sure if there was a testicle that died off or just didn’t form at all. He can get a fake one at 16 if he wants x

Oh bless him! That’s a lot for a little one to deal with! I’ve been told to just keep checking him for the next two weeks and if it doesn’t appear I need to bring him back

tbh the surgery didn’t bother him & he knows no different atm. I can notice now that there’s only one but he’s non the wiser. Was told it won’t effect fertility but to take him straight to doctors if he complains of any pain or anything as the one he’s got is precious lol x

My little one was breech and had a clicky hip. Went for a scan and all was fine. I’m sure it is all precautionary. Xx

That’s what I’m hoping will happen though they are slightly concerned he doesn’t straighten his leg properly

awww wishing all the best for him 🤞🏻coops legs were behind his head and was born and had froggy legs for a good month before they straightened 🙈. Xx

My eldest only has one testicle. This was noticed at his 6 week scan. He had keyhole surgery where they found it but it wasn’t developed and they were concerned it may be cancerous. They removed it and ran tests. All came back clear but he’s only got the one. They’ve said as he gets bigger he could have a prosthetic one. Only thing is it would require changing as he grew so the later he can leave it the better.
In terms of fertility for much further down the line I was promised it wouldn’t have any impact

That’s good news it doesn’t effect fertility. Glad everything was okay for him. I’m hoping his will just appear!

With Conor they could only feel one but it had come down by his 6week check up, where little ones born very early it may just take a little longer to come down. Hope all checks come back ok.x

Amelia has hip dysplasia when she was newborn and had to have the harness for 6 months her hips are great now ☺️ it’s abit if a struggle to get used to but your more than welcome to message me if you need any help x
