Anyone know if my fiance will be seen at CHC even though he's undocumented?? He's been in a lot of pain the last three days and had to skip work 2 days in a row. The pain went away but I'm worried it could be something serious... 😭 He literally couldn't use his hands because of the pain. I want him seen but I'm also scared of the hospital bill 😓

I’m a caseworker here in California. Have him go to the ER. He is eligible for emergency medical. He will apply after he is seen. It’s income based. Message me his gross monthly income and I can tell you if he qualifies
I’m not sure if you are aware or not but he can get medical whether he’s undocumented or not.
There are government clinics where he can get a primary care physician and they might offer financial help depending on income but it all depends on your state
Thank you. We live in California so I guess I'll have do ask the hospital. He doesn't/can't get health insurance.
@nervous_mama, I worked at a government clinic and we never asked for any legal documents to be seen just income proof and that’s what we went off of in regards to what they’ll be charged. As for any ER the patient if no insurance will be responsible for the whole bill.
