I got a question ladies.. So I have a few Dr. Brown bottles that are 6 months + and it transition into a sippy when ready.. My son is still using size 1 nipple size 2 he drinks it to fast and pukes all his milk back up. But the 6+ bottles are a size 3 nipple I wanted to try it when he hits 6 months on the 4th what if hes not ready?? I dont wanna keep him in a size 1 nipple because I want him to get used to a faster flow eventually so I can move him to the sippy when its time.

So maybe I should switch over because his morning bottle he took 40 mins to eat it I was like passing out feeding him lol
@jenny955, Hehe yeah you can try moving him up 1 level. Theyll get used to the flow eventually. You’ll be suprised. It is also how we knew to increase how much milk our daughter wanted.
@rndmshtt should he be eating 8oz now? He's still eating 6oz every 4-5 hrs and his last bottle for the night he gets 7 but 2 1/2 of it is oatmeal and veggis.
Can you just use level 1s in the sippy cup? Some babies don’t ever go up and stay on 1 the entire first year
I'm not sure if they sell size 1 nipple for a sippy cup. I can look at Meijer
My daughter still uses size 1 nipples. I just never paid any kind to the size she does good with regular cups ive tried that a little already

What’s a good sippy cup to use for bed time and nap time? Noah only gets a bottle at those times or if we are running errands and he’s getting tired I give it to him other than that he uses sippy cups and he’s not picky with them
my baby acts like he wants the bottle but when i give it to him he acts like hes drowning. tried different nipple sizes, and bottles but happens with each . any ideas.

I switched sizes when my daughter took forever drinking her bottle. I think we got up to level 4. By then we only gave her the bottle during morning and nighttime. Then we weaned her off completely by 1 years old since she already knew how to basically drink out of any cups. We started teaching her sippy cups by 6 months and gradually introduced straw cups, then regular cups and then water bottles.
