The on call at my doctors office won’t call in TAMIFLU FOR ME because they’re confused why I need it?? I told them my daughter had Flu A and that I have ALL symptoms as well and they said “You’ll have to have your doctor prescribe it” ok no what? my doctor is out on mondays and i’ve had symptoms and have been trying to get it since saturday. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 i need an ADULT not some med student my age answering the PHONE
edit: i wouldn’t have called asking for it if i knew they wouldn’t do it. they’ve done it before. lol especially when i’m running a 103 fever and my daughter already has it.
I've called in MANY new prescriptions for patients without seeing them. We did it all the time. And tamiflu was a common one.
They cant just prescribe you something over the phone without you actually being seen.
@mrs.swan110916, this is my second pregnancy with the flu and i’ve lived in georgia and now WV and they both did 🤷🏼♀️ idk.
I’ve never heard of Tamiflu being prescribed over the phone, they need to swab you before they do that. Also, if it is a med student, they are an adult. Calm down a bit. 🤣
I’m premed lmao, but all OBGYNs will prescribe it to you especially over weekends when your actual physician is closed. A student answered the phone and wasn’t aware they could do that, but I got it taken care of.
@ananix16, mine won’t. Glad you got it taken care of tho. What does being pre-med have to do with it?
I've always had to go in and have them prescribe me Tamiflu based off the swab test they do to test for influenza. Never had someone prescribe it over the phone
And if you’ve had the symptoms over I think 48 hours they claim tamiflu won’t even work 🤦🏽♀️ they act like it’s a narcotic or something 😩
