I went through it too girl, it happens! I really wanted a son this round and so did my husband.. we were near tears and felt even worse because we were that sad but we got over it and got excited for another healthy daughter 💖 especially once she was here!! She was exactly what we needed. Maybe next time we will get our boy💙

I had it too. We’ve only ever wanted just two kids and I wanted to do a gender reveal to find out what our second baby was. Good thing I had sunglasses on when that pink smoke came out from under the tires of my friends truck cause I was bawling my eyes out. We wanted a boy so bad, but after a while I got used to the idea of having two girls and it made it easier having kept all of my oldest’s clothes so we’ve saved money on baby stuff. I love both of my girls more than anything and when I think about it, I don’t think I was cut out to be a boy mom anyways lol

Like I said before on your other post. You are totally allowed to feel that way. Obviously when you don’t get what you want it doesn’t mean you don’t want the child but you just wish the celestial dice roll for boy or girl ended up on the other one. I get it and I don’t even really have a right to complain (my poor friend had 5 boys and she wanted a little girl sooo bad because she makes Victorian dresses and attends balls which none of her sons have shown an interest in).

But you get this dream in your mind and it takes a bit for that dream to shift and turn into something you can accept. Take the time you need and grieve for the daughter you won’t get this time and let your mind slowly accept it and turn that dream into something that makes you happy.. and if that doesn’t happen right away it will of course happen the moment you hold your newest son for the first time. 😍💕

I was disappointed before we even got pregnant. We did IVF and of course all our embryos were girls - and we already have one girl. We both really wanted a boy.

I seriously considered paying out of pocket for second round of IVF to get our boy.

But it’s all good now. We have all girls stuff saved and won’t need to buy much for this baby other than some toiletries, car seat and items from wish list.

It all works up in the end.

Gender disappointment is definitely real. I’ve never felt it but I know women who have and it doesn’t make you a bad mother. A lot of times, it’s not because you’re disappointed not more so shocked because you were in hopes you would have one gender over the other. Hugs dear💛

No shame here love I had it too I was pissed when they told me I was having a girl instead of a boy I eventually changed my mindset around cause I was like well damn itll be a mini-me and a daddys girl. Now ima be getting the genetic testing on Thursday and even though it will include the gender I hope it stays a girl because theres already been so much girl stuff bought but me and hubs will try for Irish twins next so I hope I get my boy with one of those 2

I have my gender ultrasound on Friday and I’m so glad it’s at the end of the week and I don’t have to go into work after. I know I’ll be upset if it’s another boy and I’m not sure I’ll be able to compose myself. Thank you for sharing your feelings today, it’s always okay to feel sad, especially over something like this.

I was upset initially when I found out this baby is another boy. My daughter really wanted a sister and I wanted another daughter. But now that I’ve known for a few weeks I am over the moon excited to be having our 3rd boy.

Sending lots of love your way. I didn't understand how real gender disappointment could be until I was pregnant. I didn't even experience gender disappointment so much as gender shock but it's a real thing and totally valid. I'm sorry you're having a hard time. 💜

I’m not proud of this but at our gender ultrasound both my husband and son were so upset we were having a girl. My son has 1 step sister, 1 real sister and 2 half sisters so he wanted a brother. My husband... just wanted a boy. But now we couldn’t imagine life without her. You’ll be the same. It’s ok to feel this way because you still love your child and when he’s here you wouldn’t be able to imagine it any other way ❤️

I cried and cried because my last was a girl and I wanted another boy! I dread the idea of teenage girls and boys are so much easier anyways! It’s totally normal and you’ll be fine!

I had gender disappointment with my 2nd. I knew my husband only wanted 2 and he was my birth control baby so the only way it seemed like it would be ok is if it was a girl. When they showed his parts at 12 weeks I bawled. I didnt accept it until like 8 months I was so upset.

It's ok to feel this way, you are allowed to have these feelings. They will fade soon enough

Awe, I'm sorry hun. My sister really wanted a girl too and she had four boys. I had the girl and gave her the name my sister always wanted to give her daughter.

Mom of 4 boys here. When we found out we were having twins one of the first things my husband said was “they better not both be boys”..... we were pretty upset at not getting our girl, and it definitely hit him when I got my tubes tied, because I don’t want to birth anymore children. It’s hard. It really is. It almost feels like a loss, especially when you wanted it so bad. I’m sorry.

I know the feeling as well... I really wanted my 2nd baby to be a girl and I was definitely disappointed when I found out it was another boy and I didn't trust the technician so I kept telling myself she was wrong, got to my final ultrasound at 32w and the tech told me he was definitely a boy so I was disappointed again... but once he was born and I held him he was just so perfect and little and I didn't even care anymore. I've done a lot of thinking and I'm actually terrified to bring a girl into the world with the way it is and how unfair it is for women in general...I feel like I'd bring her into nothing but disappointment

Girl it’s perfectly normal to have gender disappointment. I had 4 boys before I finally got my girl (that made 7 boys before my husband got his first girl) so I can tell u that it happens to everyone even men. We finally got our girl and she is awesome, it’s just something so so so different but my boys are so in love with their momma and they are so protective of their little sister!

Gender disappointment happens. I recommend some boy mom groups on fb.

I went through the same thing I understand. You’re not a terrible person you are just human. Once he’s in your arms and you see him everything will be ok

We can baby swap if you like. Lol I was the same way when i found out i was having another girl maybe that why i couldn't find a name i liked. Once you get to see him you will end up feeling different and hey at lest you know what to expect with a boy. Anytime you want a girl i got you. I am more then happy to lend or rent out one of my 3 girls.

I cried when I didnt get a boy and refused to talk to him for the rest of the day. It was all his fault 😂😂

I had gender disappointment with my youngest and I had it up until I delivered him but the second he was in my arms it went away and I was in love!! And now I’m happy I had another boy

But I totally get it I’m here if you need someone to talk to!!

I feel you my dear. I went through this when I found out my 3rd was a boy and again when my 4th was a boy. It's okay to be upset. I understand completely what your going through, within time itll fade.
