Take a moment of silence and/or prayer for the person I get ahold of at Blue Cross Blue Shield as they LITERALLY just sent me a letter denying my husband hospital stay. Apparently liver failure wasn’t a medically necessary prevention. 🙃🙃

Call back and Tell them liver failure didn’t qualify for benefits for some reason and you need a benefit level exemption. That’ll get their cheap asses moving
Hope everything gets figured out. My in laws had to pay over $50,000 for my SIL's liver transplant years ago.

Ugg. That is awful and I hope you get it sorted! But try not to be too mean to the person trying to help you. I know the situations are different (I don’t deal with such serious life threatening situations) but when I get mean customers I definitely am less inclined to go above and beyond to help than I would have if person wasn’t screaming at me. :/

We also got a denial letter from them last week because appendicitis wasn’t emergency room necessary. They said there wasn’t sufficient evidence for the surgery. I already called and tore into them. Supposedly the hospital didn’t send over the right info. We’ll see what happens next.

@joeywiththegoodhair, some doctors are only covered at certain locations on the 7th Tuesday of the month, but only every 3 months, and only if the moon is full, so you have to be careful. 🙄

I had to pay for my anesthesia when I had a colonoscopy done with a hemorrhoid banding a year ago. Apparently my insurance didn’t think I needed to be in a “deep sleep” for that. The fuq?!!? I about asked the adjuster if he wanted me to stick a giant camera up his ass and cut shit off while he was semi awake. 👍🏻
