I had the talk about periods with my daughter since she was 8. Whats the age you mothers will or did have that talk with your babygirl or girls??
As someone who got their period at 9 and didn’t get that talk before hand I can Understand why you
Would do it
Now . Props to you !
My grandmother a couple of my aunt's my mother my sister and I all got our periods young. I was 11 my sister was 11 my mom was 12. Can't remember, my grandmother and the other women in my family were but I know they were young. My daughter is 5 so probably anywhere from the age of 8 to 10.
Honestly I don’t even remember what age I was when I got mine oh lord lol. I think eight is good because my friend told me she started at eight.
Mine have known since they were around 7&8.
I was around 7 or 8 when my mom started talking to me about it
I was around 10 when my monthly gift started arriving. My mom had always talked to me about it because she always had pads/tampons around. I had a lot of questions as a kid. She didn't give me the full on talk until I was probably around 8 or 9 but I knew the general idea of what would happen.
I wanna try to keep it all natural as possible. Anytime she asks why I’m buying feminine products, explain to her. I don’t believe it’s ever to early for education. I don’t want it to ever be awkward conversations or anything.
@tiff.momma.love, we call it moon. I have a lot of women in my family and knew about it at a young age. Got my first on at 11
@tiff.momma.love, I was ready for it too. I wasn’t afraid it anything. Came out the restroom and announced to the family I was a women now lmfao
@lakota-winyan lol so funny but at least you wasnt freaked out i was and i wouldny want my daughter to have that experience.
My mom never talked to me. I had no idea what was happening when I got my first period and thought I was dying. My daughter is 10. She started her period last year. We’ve had age appropriate conversations since birth.
I was in middle school 7th Grade year when my mom talked to me about Menstrual Cycle . Didn’t have it till I was like in high school tho 😂
At least you was educated on it and prepared lol i wish i was. Never had the talk with my moms so when mines came i thought i was dien lol
@tiff.momma.love, before I was even at 5th grade I already knew what a menstrual cycle is because 1 of my classmate had hers when we were still in 4th grade 😬 so I kinda had an idea of what it was at that time but never knew why it comes but that’s when my mom explained it 😆 you’re being a good prepared mother . Whatever floats your boat go with it ! Trust your instincts 😘
8! Seems early but girls are starting earlier and earlier these days. I didn’t start until I was 12 and my mom didn’t start until she was 16 but times have definitely changed. It’s crazy
Yea but shes aware and won't be freaked out when it comes cause my moms never told me and when mines came i thought i was diening lol lol smh
@gianasmom, same! I would be so mad at my friends who where in high school and still didn’t have theirs.
@mojobebes, me too, I use to be like why me 😂😩
Do we have to talk politics on here 🙄
