At what age did you stop two hour naps and go to one hour naps for 1 year olds? I feel like my twins aren't sleepy enough at night when I put them down. In the morning my boy twin will sometimes nap at 10 for a little bit but no longer then a half hour. My girl twin pretty much dropped her morning naps. They used to take an hour nap at that time. They normally nap from 1:30 to 3:30 and go to bed at 8:30
We dont stop naps completely until the summer after kindergarten to prepare for no nap during the first grade school year.
I never stopped or was strict about any naps. I let it naturally happen lol.
I always let my children's bodies dictate their needs. My 18 month old takes a 2 hour nap during the day. My 3 year neice who stays with me takes the same nap. Normally immediately following nap and clean up.
I had to gradually reduce my daughter's nap at around 18 months because she was such a bad night sleeper. I cut it back by 15-20 minutes a week at a time until I found the amount of time that she needed to get her through the evening without being cranky and going to bed sleepy. She ended up at 30 mins no later than 3pm.
My daughter stopped on her own. She's 16 months. I'm guessing they will just stop on their own if it happens again once in a while, just means they needed it and we're really sleepy.
Wow stopped naps all together already? My first son was never a good napper. He stopped at about 2. But will nap now if he really needs it
@ladyfreyja no my daughter still takes naps. But not for a long time is what I'm saying. My son who's now 10 stopped naps around 2 also
Mine only takes. 1 nap a day has been for a long time the naps can range from 1-3 hrs nap lol
Yeah mine go hour and a half to two hours. They would sleep more if I let them lol.
@ladyfreyja, i never wake Lily I let her sleep when she wants how long she wants . She’s a terrible mapper so when she does nap I never interfere
My 1 yo naturally has done less "time" for her naps. I put her down earlier than 1:30 though. IMO I'd move up the nap time then let them sleep till they wake.
I like to do it there because it splits the day. And if I have appointments or anything for them I do them in the mornings. Guess I could move it to 1.
I just feel like I need to cut an hour or less back. They have also been waking at night more. Don't know if they are going through phase or not.
@ladyfreyja, My son has two. I’m guessing sleep regression
I'm havin some contractions that are about 20 minutes apart and lasting 3 minutes. It's been pretty consistent for almost 2 hours. Is this the beginning of labor? My doctor said if I had 6 in an hour to go to L&D but I only had 4 in an hour. I'm 32 weeks with twins.
Anybody else have trouble going to sleep at night? I could have a full day with my 1 year old with no nap and still not be able to go to bed at a decent hour. It's really frustrating! 😒😒
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

I had my Twin Girls yesterday morning 01/16/2019 😭😍 Both were breech! 🙄 But Baby A (Marlina) is 5lbs 7 oz and Baby B (Marleigha) is 7lbs 1 oz.
My water broke this morning around 3 something. I got up to pee two different times and it started running down my leg. How long until I go into labor?
My almost 2 year old goes down at 12 and wakes around 2 and goes down by 8 every night. I'm not strict when it comes to naps as long as he does go down by 1230, some days like yesterday he does an hour others he does 3, but I always make bedtime at 8 no matter what.
Even my almost 4 year old still takes 2 hour naps. Some days we boycott naps but not often.
