When did you stop rear facing your child.? Just curious.

Laws are the minimum requirement. The longer the better tbh. Babies bodies are safer in the event of an accident rear facing.

Thank you ladies my son just turned 4 today and he’s small for his age so I still want him rear facing just didn’t know if 4 was to big for rear facing.

He’s still rear, and I’m aiming for at least 3, 3.5/4 if I can push it. He’s well beyond the law requirements in NJ, but it’s safest to keep them rear as long as possible. In our new car there’s more room so I may get away with rear facing for longer now.

We just did at 3.5 years. He was having horrible pains in his legs when we would get him out of his seat, he could barely walk. Think his legs where falling asleep because he could not move them. I wanted to keep him there till 40lbs but I could not see it working. Had to wait long enough till he was 30lbs a month again. That's the law here 30lbs.

I recently turned my youngest around because she stole her sister's seat and we switched vehicles. At her height, her seat didn't for rear facing.

3 but tbh I wish I did it for longer. It’s be let best to keep them rf as long as possible.

Daughter was 3.5, I plan to RF my sons until they can physically no longer do so.
